IT FOR RETAIL

Registers that ring up every time

We build the networks behind NYC and Long Island retail. Your registers sit on their own private, PCI-ready network (VLAN), guest Wi-Fi stays off your payment traffic, loss-prevention cameras keep footage you can actually pull up, and the scanners and tablets on your floor hold a signal all day.

THE CHALLENGE

Retail has no slow day to fix things. The register has to clear cards while the floor stays busy, and every flat network or dead spot costs you a sale.

01
Registers on one open network

When registers, back-office computers, and guest devices share one network, a single infected laptop can reach your payment terminals. That is a PCI finding waiting to happen, and a breach risk on every card you swipe.

02
Dead spots on the floor

Handheld scanners drop at the back of the store, tablets stall at checkout, and line-busting grinds to a halt during a Saturday rush. One mounted access point at the register cannot cover a full sales floor.

03
Cameras nobody can pull

Loss prevention asks for last Tuesday at 4pm and the footage is already overwritten, mislabeled, or behind a password nobody has. A camera that does not produce clean, retained video gives you nothing to act on.

WHAT WE DO

What we build for retail

01
Separate, secure POS networks

We put payment terminals on their own private network, walled off from guest Wi-Fi, back-office systems, and cameras, with firewall rules controlling what can reach them. The card-data path stays narrow whether you run one store or a chain, and passing a PCI review gets far simpler.

02
Floor-wide Wi-Fi

UniFi access points placed for real coverage from the front register to the stockroom, tuned for the density of handheld scanners and floor tablets. Devices roam without dropping as staff work the floor.

03
Guest Wi-Fi done right

A branded sign-in page for customers, fully separate from POS and inventory traffic. They get internet. Your payment network never sees their devices.

04
Cameras and loss prevention

Coverage on entrances, registers, and the stockroom with retention you set and footage labeled by zone. Remote viewing lets a multi-store owner check any location from one app.

WHAT YOU GET

FAQ

Straight answers.

Yes. Payment terminals go on their own separate network with firewall rules controlling what can reach them. Guest Wi-Fi, inventory systems, and cameras each sit on their own separate network. That keeps your card-data path narrow and makes passing a PCI review far simpler.

Yes. We standardize the network across every location and run it from central UniFi management, so you see all sites in one dashboard. A new store opening gets the same network layout, the same Wi-Fi tuning, and the same camera retention without anyone rebuilding it from scratch.

That is almost always too few access points, or access points placed for the building instead of the shelving and traffic. We survey the actual floor, mount access points for the density your devices need, and tune roaming so a scanner stays connected from checkout to the back stockroom even on a packed Saturday.
